Here we have Transfer Case Oil Change. WIS Specifies 60,000 Mile Change. I'm doing it a bit early at 50,000. It should be changed, like most oils, in a "warmed up state". I included BOTH the W463 AND W460 for comparison's sake. Please note, the Redline is NOT a Specified fluid. I am using other forum members' experience with this Product. Also see my "Redline Warning" Post, so you don't make any "Boo-Boo's". I included the "Recommended" Service Sheet for the VG150E Transfer Case. I made something like this myself, because you don't have too much room between chassis and filling plug. nice job, Bram

I have done this Oil Change on ?6? different G's, and I never recalled actually SEEING a descrete Sealing Ring, so I never thought about placing one. Recently, one of our fellow members was using my little shop for his oil change, and he brought the above illustrated seal. We loooooked, and we loooooked to try to find said seal. After looking on the T/C side, the metal looked a little "brighter" than the surrounding metal. We decided the Aluminium Sealing Ring was perfectly mashed into the T/C sealing side. After nearly and *HOUR* of Picking, Gently Prying, and Tapping, it was decided the stupid thing was sooooo tightly adherent, it would not come out. Since he did not want to Risk Mucking-Up the Soft, Aluminium sealing surface (with possible Leaking), he decided to just leave it as is, and to place a new Sealing Ring *ON TOP OF* the current Sealing Ring. This was a couple of months ago, and I have yet to hear of any gripes. Now, in **MY** limited experience of 10 changes (on the 6 trucks) *WITHOUT* placing a new Sealing Ring? I have not seen a DROP of oil leak. I would be very curious to hear from others what THEIR experience is.

The drain plug seal ring, aluminum, did not come out with the plug on mine as well. It came out when I was cleaning around the hole area. I reused the seal and will see what happens.
