Photo DIY- Restoring the Gas Pedal Mount to "Original" Configuration

This is another quasi-useless DIY job, but since I did the work, thought I would pass it on for anyone trying to re-do their Accelerator Pedal Mount.

After a slightly scary episode... where my Gas Pedal JAMMED up (fortunately at idle power... but still), where it was completely locked up.

Limping home, I encountered another wonderful "Surprise" from the Bride of Frankenstein's Less-than-Wholesome Past.

Some idiot just drilled holes through the floorboard and slapped a plate, and SCREWED the Old Gas pedal onto this half-baked mount.

The project shows returning the mount to "Standard" configuration.

Nicely done. For me the Por 15 treatment is a must.

RE: Photo DIY- Restoring the Gas Pedal Mount to "Original" Configuration

It is always nice to do things how they were meant to  be done.  When I bought mu G, I stripped all the seats and interior out to minimize the surprises I might have found later.  Some shoddy wiring from stereo/alarm shop, loose connections, worn/aged  rubber items in the transmission hump area.   Very time consuming and frustrating at times, but rewarding in the end.  It also minimizes things rearing their head on the trail or on the road away from home.
