The regular MDX-100 WON'T WORK! Going to a Battery shop, they should be able to test for you. Since I am a "Preventative" kinda' guy, I like to catch things PRIOR to my wife being stranded out somewhere... so the Battery check is part of my Routine.. As you can see in the post, the battery FAILED!, even though it "seemed" to be working fine. My experience with MB batteries- When they go.... they GO! and with no warning. I was pleasantly surprised to find out the battery was not "that" expensive through the Dealer. C - Midtronics website only shows an MDX-640 or an MDX-650, no MDX-600. I guess the 640 and 650 are just variations of the 600 Series. Which one do you have? (I'll bet I can guess. )

(I'll bet I can guess. ) No, that is what is nice... you just clamp the tester on with battery In Situ. No need to disconnect anything... And, yes, your guess was correct. ;-) Actually I should have been more clear.. it is a 600 "Series" which is required.
