Silly things like Window Regulators and Door Handles? Yes, sure... but this was a REAL Failure. In fact, out of the whole "Fleet", this was the first time I've had a CPS go bad.. and two of the higher-mileage vehicles are 166K, and 162K miles. I was out in the "Back 40" doing my Weekly Differential Work-Out... Blasting my Music.... when I noticed I wasn't moving any more.. WHAT THE!!!??? Engine was OFF! Tried to re-start, to no avail. I waited 5 minutes, and the truck started. "AHHHH", thinks I... "Classic CPS!!" Wa able to make it into the garage, hooked-up the Quickie-OBDII, which confirmed my Diagnosis. Sean at Eurotruck got me a very attractively-priced Bosch CPS, very QUICKLY! Thanks! I must say, this Job is about as easy as it gets!! A 10-Minute-Special! In fact, it was soooo cheap and easy, I am going to Pre-Emptively change the CPS's on the older cars. One Caveat... Use GREAT CARE for this job while the engine is Hot, you could get a Cooked Extremity!! To be perfectly Honest... I'm not sure what the Outcome would be *IF* you don't Re-Adapt the CPS with the STAR/Procedure. (and I hope Harald appreciates my Change in Color/Font... I did not want to cause him a Neuro-Optic Embolism. He's got enough Rehab on his Plate.... ) Edited by G-AMG 7/20/2013 12:34 AM (1.jpg) (2.jpg) (3.jpg) (4.jpg) (5.jpg) (6.jpg) (7.jpg) (8.jpg) (9.jpg) (10.jpg) (11.jpg) (12.jpg) (13.jpg) (14.jpg) (15.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 1.jpg (76KB - 4 downloads) 2.jpg (67KB - 3 downloads) 3.jpg (107KB - 3 downloads) 4.jpg (76KB - 4 downloads) 5.jpg (95KB - 4 downloads) 6.jpg (58KB - 3 downloads) 7.jpg (76KB - 2 downloads) 8.jpg (92KB - 2 downloads) 9.jpg (106KB - 2 downloads) 10.jpg (82KB - 4 downloads) 11.jpg (82KB - 2 downloads) 12.jpg (82KB - 3 downloads) 13.jpg (92KB - 2 downloads) 14.jpg (64KB - 3 downloads) 15.jpg (95KB - 3 downloads)

The two "High Mileage" vehicles have M112, and M119 engines, both are V shaped. Granted, those engines also have better "Diaper" systems, so perhaps there is better Air-Flow, and Cooling around the engine/components. I don't think there is any spot on a G where things "Flow" smoothly.. Ha Ha! The Aerodynamics of a Toaster Oven...
