Photo DIY- M110 Thermostat-to-Water Pump Hose R/R

Yes, I know there are few W460 M110 owners here.... but I thought I would post this since I just finished the work:

Well, after scratching my head, trying to figure WHERE a small Coolant Leak was arising from?
I ended up finding the culprit: the Dreaded Small Hose section in between the Thermostat Housing and the Water Pump.

I remember "Hipine" saying this was a pain to Remove.

Lucky for me, the Upper Hose Clamp was Missing-in-Action (the cause of the leak, along with a partially-dissolved Hose), so it made REMOVE the Thermostat housing easy enough.

On Install, I postioned the Clamps such that they would be more easily access if/when I ever have to take the system apart, again.

Hope this helps someone in the future...

Please note, this Job was for a M110.994 Model Engine.

Sorry, one photo failed to UpLoad.

Obviously "Drain Coolant" Prior to Removing any of the Hoses/Thermostat Housing.

Part number for the MB Analog Calipers?

Actually there is NO part# to it.

They came out of the Sindelfingen plant. No, NO! I did not have "Sticky Fingers" during our last EDP Plant Tour.

My good friends had the "First Dibs" on the Sindelfingen/Stuttgart Plant "Dumpster Diving". Apparently, Daimler-Benz is like our Government Agencies... If they don't get rid of ALL of their tools on a yearly basis, they don't get the funds for Future tools.

Thus, there are DUMPSTERS full of (often time UN-USED!!) Fancy German Tools.

It looks as if the Caliper is Custom-Made for Mercedes. No other Manufacturer Markings. If I were to GUESS?? I would say they are Scala brand.
They Look/Feel/Smell like my Brake Caliper tool from M-B, which IS Scala.
