Check out the MOG stories on "U.S. Unimogs" two from Virginia, Silver STAR MOTORS. A 1985 U 1300 L and an S 404. U 1300 L, Owner Peter Fuchs, Vienna, Virginia. Jay Huber has the S 404. Great story! www.mercedesenthusiast.co.uk

This issue just hit the shelves here downunder - good read, they're usually G-bashers there at Merc Enthusiast but that Mog article was OK.

C'mon VonEpp, they're not that bad... they even did an article on my G and on the June 2005 issue! (see attached scan)

I must admit I only buy it periodically, for some reason I missed that issue. A good read.

You must admit, in general they always seem to refer to the G more as an aside, maybe as the runt of the litter. You can kind of understand when they regularly drive cars like the Brabus S-class or drift a Maybach 62 on a frozen lake (both from the October issue).
